Bushwalking
Bushwalking is a great, natural way of keeping warm this winter but it’s not all about walking. You will learn some bush detective skills that you can use anywhere to discover the mysteries and magic of the bush.
Suitable warm and waterproof clothing, sturdy shoes and a drink bottle are recommended for all activities.
Bushwalking: July 8 from 10:00AM – 11:30AM

Gardening
The Dandenongs are renowned for its beautiful exotic gardens. Join the ranger and gardener on a tour of the National Rhododendron Gardens to develop your five senses and your green thumbs. Pot a plant to take home for your garden.
Suitable warm and waterproof clothing, sturdy shoes and a drink bottle are recommended for all activities.

Bird Watching
The forest in winter, often cloaked with cool damp fog, becomes a place of mystery and magic.
During the coldest, darkest days of winter the male lyrebird is keeping warm by fine-tuning his singing and dancing performance. Learn how to spot this love-sick songster and learn how to recognise some common bird calls, while enjoying a short stroll in the forest.
Suitable warm and waterproof clothing, sturdy shoes and a drink bottle are recommended for all activities.
